Karah Thompson began dancing at age three and has not looked back. Her passion started Tammy’s Dance Center in Waxahachie, TX which began the foundation of her dance career. Karah has a degree in dance performance from Oklahoma City University where she gratefully learned how to entertained the audience and extended her knowledge past simply dancing movements. While at OCU Karah performed with the American Spirit Dance Company, Spirit of Grace Liturgical Company, and OCU Pep Dancers. With the American Spirit Dance Company Karah was fortunate to perform in the Home for the Holidays show, Spring Show, and for the Governor at the Oklahoma Governor’s Holiday Gala. Karah has enjoyed all the places her talented has taken her. She has been a dancer for the DFW Texans football team, the Ft. Worth Brahmas hockey team, Two John’s Saloon at Frontier City with Silvertree Productions, Dallas Fashion Show at Hilton Inn, dancer and choreographer for “Project 21” at Burg Theater, duet dancer for the dance show Time of Our Lives, lead in Broadway Hopefuls in the Kirkpatrick Theatre, and a member of the Dallas based dance company, Events In Motion. Karah has extended her talents to theatrical shows such as Anything Goes, where she was an assistant choreographer, Wizard of Oz, which she was a talking tree and dance captain, chorus in Godspell, and featured dancer in Willy Wonka. Karah is thrilled to be able to continue her love of the stage and dancing through Oklahoma Showgirls. With the Showgirls Karah has performed at the Barons Ball in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at JJ’s Saloon, Kickapoo Casino, and many more venues & shows. Karah specializes, but is not limited to, dance styles such as tap, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, hip-hop, lyrical, and pointe. As long as there is a beat, whether it’s a song or the beep of a car alarm going off, Karah can and will find a way to dance to it.
