A born performer, Jeanette Sealey has been on stage since she could walk – dancing, singing, acting, and playing the clarinet – in her hometown of Guthrie, Oklahoma. She graduated Cum Laude and Cum Honore from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Management and a minor in history. At OCU, Jeanette was a part of the American Spirit Dance Company, serving as a Line Captain for Home for the Holidays, and held many backstage roles like Assistant Stage Manager and Head Fly Operator. After graduating, Jeanette spent time with Ballet Hawaii, studying under WillieDean Ige, former principal dancer with Honolulu City Ballet, and working as the Assistant Stage Manager of Ballet Hawaii’s Nutcracker. This experience brought opportunities to manage and take classes with dancers from New York City Ballet, South Carolina Ballet, and The Australian Ballet. Now back in Oklahoma, Jeanette has shared her talents on the stage of Miss Oklahoma three times and performed in numerous locations with her various local titles, most recently Miss Del City 2015. Jeanette currently works as an Events Specialist for Courtyard Marriott and loves to spend any free time dancing. She has taught at studios around Oklahoma City and recently performed in Jewel Box Theatre’s production of Chicago. Jeanette’s love for the arts is apparent and she looks forward to bringing this passion, as well as training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and hula, to the Oklahoma Showgirls.
