Company history

We began as Lyra's Muse Dance Company in April, 2007. Lyra's Muse was an adult performing group that was active at many of the local festivals, fairs, parades, and art shows in Oklahoma City. Several of the styles of dance performance included jazz, ballet, tap, and character. In the summer of 2009, the directer of the group opened her own dance studio for adults, located in the Historic Automobile Alley district of downtown Oklahoma City. The current dance company changed members and a new group of professional dancers joined. The group emerged as the Oklahoma Showgirls in August 2009.

Lynn S.

Lynn's experience includes 25 years of dance training through dance studios, public schools, and The University of Central Oklahoma. She was also a competitive artistic roller skater for 14 years. After obtaining her Bachelor

of Science degree from UCO, she and her husband had a son in 2006. When re-evaluating where her life was headed, she decided to open Oklahoma's Only Sultry Studio of Dance, Teaze Dance & Fitness, LLC. Since 2009, Teaze has become well known in her community as a haven for adult ladies who still want

to dance beyond their teenage years.

Her fitness classes are unique, fun, and entertaining. Lynn feels that offering performance is an important aspect of her business. With the growing number of casinos in oklahoma and very few professional dance or cirque style performers in the state, she believes that there is a market for what she offers and a dream that will soon become a reality for herself and her dance company members.
